Prescription Lens Options
SINGLE-VISION
Most people order eyeglasses with single-vision prescriptions, meaning their lenses will correct for one field of vision (near or distance).
PROGRESSIVES
If you want to correct for both your reading and distance vision, and everything in between, progressives are for you. Your prescription is eligible if it includes an “ADD” value.
NON-PRESCRIPTION FRAMES & READERS
Select “Single-vision prescription” when adding a frame to your cart, and in checkout you’ll have the option to select lenses that have no prescription at all, or lenses that offer simple magnification. They both come with all the same protective treatments as our prescription lenses.
LENS COLORS
Clear
We’re talking crystal clear. If you want completely uncolored vision while wearing your frames, inside and out, go with our standard clear lenses.
Light-responsive
These lenses transition from fully clear indoors to dark grey outdoors (even on a cloudy day, because they respond to UV rays).
LENS MATERIALS
Polycarbonate lenses
Standard with any Eye Candy optical order, these are some of the most lightweight and impact-resistant lenses available.
1.67 high-index lenses
If you have a strong prescription, you may want to opt for 1.67 high-index lenses, which are up to 20% thinner than polycarbonate lenses with the same prescription.
Blue-light-filtering lenses
We offer polycarbonate blue-light-filtering lenses for customers who are concerned about the effects of blue light. These lenses filter more blue light than our standard polycarbonate or high-index lenses and can be added to your order during checkout.
Polarization
Light rays reflecting off pavement, snow, or water can impair your vision. The polarized filter in many of our sun lenses reduces this glare—and that filter comes securely encased in your lenses so it won’t wear off over time.

Prescription Eyeglasses
We can fill prescriptions with a sphere (SPH) value between -18.00 and +6.00. High-index lenses are recommended in some instances and required if the sphere (SPH) value on your prescription is stronger than -10.00. You may add these lenses to your order at checkout or we will follow up with you if they’re recommended.

If you have astigmatism in either eye, you will have a cylinder (CYL) value in your prescription. We can fill prescriptions with a cylinder (CYL) value within ±10.00. High-index lenses are recommended in some instances and required if the cylinder (CYL) value on your prescription is ±4.00 or stronger. You may add these lenses to your order at checkout or we will follow up with you if they’re recommended.

We can fulfill progressive lens prescriptions with ADD powers between +0.75 and +3.50 and a combined sphere (SPH) and cylinder (CYL) value between -18.00 and +6.00. You may add these lenses to your order at checkout or we will follow up with you if they’re recommended.
